Aziz abu Sarah and Scott Cooper established MEJDI to challenge classic Holy Land tours that ignore important issues, and the local people, where they travel. It addresses stereotypes, preconceptions, and one-sided narratives by promoting a wholistic journey focusing on stories of people. Jesus would never have visited archaeological sites in the holy land ignoring the people, injustice, pain, and conflict. Jesus as the Peacemaker calls us to follow in His footsteps.
