Church Historian Warns Against Melding National Military Might With Radical Religious Beliefs

Jeffrey Rosario, a doctoral candidate at Cambridge University in England, traces the history of an American Christian theology that predicts an end-times apocalypse connected to the modern state of Israel. He shows how Rev. John Hagee not only has embraced this belief but also has added the dangerous assertion that U.S. military power, exerted in support of Israel, will bring a divinely-willed end-time of deadly violence.
