Using the State of Israel as a “Political Football” to Seduce Evangelical Voters

In an opinion piece, the Washington Bureau Chief for the Chicago Sun-Times presents strong evidence that the Trump administration -- most conspicuously Secretary of State Mike Pompeo -- is exploiting the State of Israel in order to seduce the Evangelical vote. The administration’s recent actions in regard to Israel have been blatantly self-promoting. Even a former U.S. ambassador to Israel, who is Jewish, believes that Israel is being used as a "political football".
